Dr Susan Banki
Susan has been working with refugees for nearly 20 years, inspired by her father, who was a refugee himself. She is a passionate teacher, whether working as an academic in the university environment or volunteering her time to run creative workshops for children in refugee camps.
Dr Josh McConnell
Josh has been drawing and doodling since early childhood, a hobby that kept him sane through graduate school at MIT and a job at NASA designing robots to look for life on Mars.
Currently, Josh works as a business consultant where he gets to use fancy words like synergy, bandwidth and thought leader with a straight face.
When Susan and Josh are not working or writing children’s books, they enjoy spending time with their two children, who have lots of opinions on how to make their parents’ books better and funnier.
